A science fiction thriller set inside a covert government program built to prepare for alien contact, where the first subject is less specimen than family. Conspiracy-driven alien suspense with genetic engineering, agency power grabs and a researcher on the run.
The Alien Experiment Is Alive. It Wants Out.
In a world where UFO sightings have become alarmingly frequent, the US government's top-secret A.L.I.V.E. Project was created to prepare for an impending alien threat.
Dr. Maeve Leander, raised in the shadow of the covert operation, now leads the research on Alvie, the project's first alien subject. To Maeve, Alvie isn't just an experiment; he's family. Then a mysterious new agency seizes control of A.L.I.V.E., and Maeve's world turns upside down.
She discovers Alvie isn't the only extraterrestrial being studied, and that the project's true goal may be to ensure no one makes it out alive. Hunted by human adversaries and otherworldly ones, Maeve has one advantage left: nobody knows Alvie the way she does. Whether that'll be enough is another question.

Acerca del autor
R.D. Brady is the best seller behind over sixty pulse pounding supernatural and science fiction thrillers. A former criminologist and terrorism expert, she weaves cutting edge research and real‐world intrigue―born from her academic work on terrorist ideology and life course criminology―into epic adventures where fierce women and brave men face ancient mysteries, unexplained scientific phenomena, and unrelenting action. When she’s not plotting high stakes rescues, you’ll find her teaching martial arts, logging miles as a dedicated runner, puttering around her garden, or spoiling her loyal canine companions. Under the pen name Sadie Hobbes, she also spins urban fantasy tales that keep readers on the edge of their seats.
