While many CEOs drag employees back to expensive offices, visionary leaders are building the future: fully remote companies that outperform, outcompete, and out-hire their competition.
Ken Taylor helped scale a startup from three people to a multi-million dollar operation, all without ever renting office space. In Working in Slippers, he reveals how most fully remote companies gain lasting advantages over traditional businesses.
With practical examples and stories from his own experience, Taylor demonstrates how remote work enables companies to become more profitable and productive while enhancing employee quality of life and reducing turnover.
The book explores the full spectrum of remote work:

Ken Taylor has spent his career in tech startups, from watching his father's ventures as a child to building world-class teams across industries and business cycles. As the third employee at a startup that transitioned to a fully remote company, Taylor witnessed firsthand how remote work can transform businesses. When COVID prevented the company from moving to physical offices, they discovered that staying remote wasn't just practical, it was superior. The strategies that emerged from this experience form the foundation of Working in Slippers.Taylor is also co-author of The Confucian Cycle: China's Sage and America's Decline. He lives near San Antonio, Texas, with his wife Angela, their dog Magenta, and several cats who frequently appear on conference calls from his home office.
