In this compelling account of a young man's journey from Tehran to America, author Sara Fashandi continues the captivating story that began with her debut novel, Message in a Matchbox.
From Tehran to Tomorrow recounts her brother Mohsen's courage and resilience to begin life anew in an unknown land-an odyssey that becomes the turning point for his entire family. Mohsen leaves Tehran with a suitcase, determination, and the faith of a mother who believes education can change the course of her children's lives. Arriving in America alone, he steps into a world filled with uncertainty. The language is unfamiliar, money is scarce, and the loneliness of being far from home weighs heavily on him. Each day demands perseverance. But, as he soon learns, giving up is not part of his story. Driven by opportunity and the belief his mother has in him, Mohsen works, studies, and gradually builds a life in a country that once felt impossibly distant. In time, his determination helps make it possible for his siblings to come to the United States, transforming his journey into a new beginning for the family he loves.
