While She Was Forgotten: Everyone knew her story, but no one knew his (The Forgotten Girl Series) - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

Summer camp was supposed to be the place Johnny Oakes finally found a friend. In the summer of 1988, Johnny meets Abbie Keller at Camp Hollow Lake. For a moment, it feels like he finally found a true friend, until Abbie trades his friendship for the approval of the camp's cruel popular girls. Days later, a reckless dare ends in tragedy when Abbie falls into the lake and never comes back up.

But the truth about what happened that night is buried deeper than anyone realizes.

Seven years later, Kate Winslow returns to Camp Hollow Lake (now Camp Whispering Pine) after purchasing the abandoned property, determined to reopen it and bring life back to the forgotten grounds. Instead, she and Johnny begin experiencing something impossible: whispers in their minds from someone who calls herself Elsa.

Elsa wants to be heard. Elsa wants the truth uncovered. And Elsa is willing to take control to make it happen.

As the line between memory and possession begins to blur, Johnny is forced to confront the dark secret hidden beneath the lake's surface and the girl who made sure Abbie never made it out alive.

Because some spirits refuse to stay buried.
