Sinopsis

Conscription is not a gentle procedure, Robin and his archers were loaded into an enclosed wagon at spear point, they were told that the King had need of them. The road south led past the Fitzwalter farm, the wagon train drew attention from everyone in town and news must have gotten to Marian’s family. Robin jostled his way to the side of the wagon where he could see Marian through the barred windows, he waved at her and her parents. Marian saw him and fell to her knees, Robin yelled, telling her that he would be back, but he didn’t know if she could hear him. As she threw herself down into the dirt and pounded the ground with her fists, Robin’s heart was ripped from his chest. The King’s army marched into the distance as Robin watched her parents lifting her limp body out of the roadside mud.

Fifteen years after their lives had been torn apart by Royal greed and war. Robin returns to a Nottingham shrouded in shadows and despair. Marian is missing, rumored to have been given to another, or as some believe, she is one of the stolen. In Robin’s desire to find her he becomes a vengeful wraith, bent on finding her but teetering on the edge of suicidal rage.

As Robin battles the Royals, and their Swamp Witch, Athelryth Strone, along with Sir Guy of Gisborne and the Sheriff. He finds he must fight his way through brilliant traps laid by the indomitable Eleanor of Aquitaine, the King’s mother, to even get a glimpse of Marian.

Can a love fractured by time and trauma endure the dark years? Can they find the key to the secrets hidden in the dark heart
of the castle? Can Robin win his way free? Will his newly formed band of friends, Little John, Will Scarlet, and Friar Tuck, reach him in time to help?

In this dark, romantic reimagining, legend meets history in a tale of love, betrayal, and unbreakable will.
