Ticket To Paradise: A Ron Jackson Thriller Book 1 - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

Art Garcia was all set to collect millions when a mudslide ruined everything. The police found his sister Angela, who was already dead, buried in the mud, not in her house as he had planned. Now he finds himself a person of interest in her death, and the cops have discovered a secret only he and his sister shared.

Detectives Ron Jackson and Mary Ann McDonald can find no motive for anyone to murder the respected child services caseworker - until they discover that eight children, all last seen in the custody of Angela, have vanished without a trace.
Tensions mount as each new piece of evidence leads them nowhere. Suspects end up dead. A powerful politician questions the detectives' competence. The police chief, up for re-election, demands the case be solved - or else. To save their careers and solve the case, Jackson and McDonald must find Angela's drug-dealing brother, the only one who might have the answers.

A small-time drug dealer, Art does not want to be found. He was sure there was no way the cops could tie him to the missing children. But one mistake has proved costly, and the detectives are one step behind him as he frantically plots his escape.
