A desperate and frantic mother is on a mission to find a diagnosis and treatment for her young daughter, Storey, who began to show signs of a rare condition at 2-years-old.
The memoir unfolds with the family home in close proximity to wildlife and the natural healing world of Montana. Storey's mother seeks out western medicine and alternative therapies, equally, believing that miracles do happen. This keeps the author's hope alive while providing her family with as much normalcy as possible. Storey’s love for her mother, father and brother offers her family an opportunity to be present in their fear of the future.
As the seasons pass Storey's mother, Sandee, understands that the more Storey declines, the more love Storey has to give to anyone with an open heart.

Acerca del autor
SANDEE BARRY MILLS received a B.A., in Fine Arts in the 1980s after many tears and beers. Her life experience as an impaired dyslexic test taker and a mother of exceptional children, guided her to become an adaptive ski instructor and a therapeutic horsemanship volunteer. When she's not editing and editing, she and her golden retriever, MoonPie, are in the mountains where creative ideas grow from trees. She celebrates the change of seasons and her latest artistic passion. She and her husband live near their son in Montana. This is her first book.
