What happens when you step outside of time?
Is that even possible? I experienced it.
What I found there made time feel simple, and changed how I understand the human experience.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve carried deep questions about time, life, purpose, love, suffering, good and evil, and everything that seems to exist just beyond our sight. I could never shake the feeling that one day I would “remember to remember” something forgotten, something essential.
Then one day, I slipped into another dimension, outside of time itself. What followed from this direct encounter made time suddenly understandable and strangely simple. One of the discoveries was that this understanding held even through a scientific lens, without requiring abstract theories or long explanations.
When I returned, the impact was immediate. It felt as though the wind had been knocked out of me, not in pain, but in astonishment. Everything I thought I understood about reality seemed insufficient, as if familiar concepts had been pulled apart into something foreign and completely ineffable.
I quickly realized that what we imagine about existence is limited by what we have already seen, and that what I experienced was consciousness outside that frame. The experience continued to unfold long after I returned. I knew I had to translate it into words.
In the time that followed, I intentionally avoided other metaphysical works, spiritual writings, or near-death accounts, wanting this to remain as raw and unfiltered as possible, shaped only by what I experienced.
Two Seconds of Eternity is the result. It is my attempt to translate an ineffable experience into simple, honest language. This book is a direct account of what I experienced outside of time and beyond this dimension. From that, unfolds a metaphysical, spiritual, and philosophical exploration of time, language, duality, emotion, experience, purpose, love, and the responsibility that comes with being conscious at all.
One thing that settled into me was a clearer understanding of polarity, of the world of form as a place where opposites not only exist, but must exist. Injustice, beauty, cruelty, good and evil are not anomalies, but part of the same structure. The pendulum will swing, and there is no erasing one without denying the whole. What became clear instead was self-responsibility: learning how to live within this reality through our reactions and choices.
Time revealed itself not as an abstract mystery, but as something simple and clear. Love emerged not only as an emotion, but as a fundamental force, as essential as air or water. The book reflects on both the beauty and the weight of being human, and brings clarity to questions of duality and purpose within human experience.
If you are drawn to and interested in topics like:
— near-death experiences
— consciousness beyond the body
— the nature of time and reality
— philosophical reflections on purpose and existence
you may find something here that resonates.

Paperback. Condición: new. Paperback. Alyssa Skyes was born with an insatiable curiosity about the mysteries of life, the unseen forces shaping our existence, and the purpose of the human journey. Raised in a strict religious environment, she was not free to voice these questions, yet they filled her mind constantly. Like many, she eventually became absorbed in the struggle for survival, but always held on to a quiet knowing: one day, something would return-some knowledge that had been forgotten-and help make sense of these unanswered questions in a way that felt true. She believes that, whether religious or not, most people are spiritual at heart. We are all seekers by nature, pondering the unseen, contemplating life and death, pain and love, the state of the world, and the reason we are here at all. Then, one day, something happened. In an instant, everything changed. Two Seconds of Eternity is not fiction, but a profound recounting of a transformative, inter-dimensional experience. It is the story of a brief yet life-altering encounter with a realm beyond the physical-one that shattered the boundaries of time and revealed something timeless. What unfolded was not a vision, but a direct confrontation beyond space and form.During that out-of-body experience, she glimpsed the hidden architecture beneath time, self, thought, and reality itself. The experience forever changed her understanding of what is real, of good and evil, and of the nature of existence. This book is her attempt to translate the ineffable into words-simple and honest-as she shares the profound insights that emerged from her experience.Within these pages, she reflects on timeless themes: the nature of opposites, the understanding of time, the meaning of life, the interplay between form and formlessness, and the eternal dance between consciousness, morality, and love. Duality, religion, and purpose intertwine in this recounting, inviting readers to contemplate not only what lies beyond this life, but how much the journey depends on our personal interpretations of it. We are not passive observers; we are active participants in the unfolding of our collective evolution. This is an account of returning with a fragment of eternity-and the discovery of both bliss and responsibility in the astonishing, fleeting experience of being human.
