Sinopsis

Jake has sunk into heavy drinking because of his feelings of guilt over the death of his girlfriend in a traffic accident, even though he was not responsible for it. He is left unable to form any new attachments. Kate is the victim of a verbally abusive father who has drummed into her that women are only good for taking care of men and having babies. She has a brain and wants to use it. When they meet, their relationship begins a healing process for both of them.
