Sinopsis

A practical, funny, no-pressure time-management guide for real men with real-life responsibilities.

If you’re juggling work, family, deadlines, and the feeling that you’re constantly falling behind, this book is for you.

It’s the first book in The Moderately Motivated Man series—written for guys who want to get better at life without trying too hard. That means no 5 a.m. ice baths, no “optimize every minute” BS, and no indoctrination into hustle culture.

This book gives you a playbook of realistic, actionable methods to manage your time—without burnout, guilt, or 17-step systems that require a PhD in color-coding calendars.

Inside, you’ll learn how to:

  • Choose what actually matters (and stop reacting to everything else)
  • Focus like a human, not a machine
  • Say no with confidence
  • Beat procrastination without pep talks or shame
  • Build habits that survive real life, not fantasy life
  • Rest without regret—because downtime is not a crime

Whether you want more productivity, more peace, or just fewer “where the hell did the day go?” moments, this book will help you use your time with more intention and a lot less stress.

Ten short chapters. Zero spreadsheets. A few laughs guaranteed. Let’s get rollin’.

Acerca del autor

Rick Resnick is a former newspaper writer, magazine publisher, and longtime media executive who spent decades helping his companies sell hundreds of millions in advertising dollars-often by crafting custom campaigns that connected brands with consumers. His byline appeared in sponsored features across Fortune, Time, Money, People, and Sports Illustrated. As a leader of large marketing teams (and as a husband and father), Rick learned time management the hard way-between meetings, deadlines, and inbox avalanches. He practiced what he now preaches: blocking "thinking time" on his calendar, protecting deep work, and occasionally booking conference rooms just to escape phone calls, emails, and drive-by interruptions. His first book, "The New Husband's Survival Guide," offered laugh-out-loud advice for men trying to coexist peacefully with women. Now he's tackling productivity with "The Moderately Motivated Man's Guide to Time Management"-the first in a self-help series for guys who want to get better at life without trying too hard. When he's not writing, Rick plays tennis and golf, obsessively supports Arsenal FC, and sings lead in a rock cover band based in Pike County, PA. He still checks email too often, but he's working on it.
