Persecuted as heretical, these guardians of the sacred family have been in a centuries old struggle to protect the direct descendants until the promise of His return becomes reality. And now, the Cathar’s ancient hidden scriptures reveal that the time has come, and memories of past lives with the savior erupt into disturbing dreams of the reincarnated souls who were, and are once again, inextricably linked together in his life. As the countdown begins both secular and religious groups mount a world-wide pogrom to weed out and destroy the last of the lineage before one man who can offer salvation can be born. With a web of deceit festering in their own organization, the Cathar’s fight to stay ahead of the enemy until the inevitable climax between good and evil . Many take to heart the theory that says that Jesus, whose austere lineage in the Hebrew faith would be required to marry, and was indeed married to Mary Magdalene. Nor can it be discounted the possibility that his lineage lives.Part history, part fantasy, this skillfully crafted novel of suspense, Promise Child, In the Time of the Cathar Moon, by Holly Sullivan McClure immediately plunges the reader deep within the ancient religion of the Cathar. Holly Sullivan McClure grew up in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, where ghost stories were part of everyday life, and where it was considered downright rude if departed relatives didn't stop by now and then. After living in New Orleans and on a barrier island off the Georgia coast, Holly collected local hauntings and folklore, first sharing them as a storyteller at Stone Mountain Park's Tour of Southern Ghosts. That passion for the supernatural grew into a full-time writing career spanning both fiction and non-fiction. She now lives near a Civil War battlefield in Georgia, continuing her family's tradition of ghost stories and working on the next book in her chilling paranormal mystery series.
