F. Jay is a Tennessee native who loves flowers and gardening. She tries to plant flowers that will attract hummingbirds and butterflies. She finds butterflies fascinating. She hopes children will learn to read and to love nature. One of her hobbies is watercolor painting. F. Jay painted the butterflies in this story, along with Tamara Waller of Jackson. F. Jay thinks there is nothing that can brighten your day more than seeing something colorful.This is F. Jay's second children's book. Her first, "Calling All Gullfriends," is about seagulls. F. Jay has been writing since she was twelve years old. She graduated from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, with a Bachelor of Science degree in radio-television and a minor in journalism. She continues writing and painting in her home state of Tennessee.

Tamara Waller was raised in Morocco, North Africa. Her family moved to Jackson, Tennessee, when she was fifteen. She now lives there with her husband, Aaron. Tamara has loved making art since she was a little girl. She sells watercolor portraits and does photography and graphic design. She loved being part of this project and hopes children enjoy the colorful illustrations. She enjoyed working with F. Jay and talking with her about their mutual love for God's creation and its beauty. "Winged Wisdom" is the first children's book Tamara has illustrated. She looks forward to working on many more. Tamara graduated from Union University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Communications and a minor in Christian Studies.
