Hope in the Waiting: 40 reflections and prayers for the Lent season - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

Are you weary? Life has knocked you down? There is a hope. It’s found in Jesus. He faced battles too. His ultimate battle was the cross. But Jesus overcame death, so we could walk in victory. Through prayer, we fight on our knees and fix our eyes on Jesus who gives strength to the weary.

Hope in the Waiting is a 40-day devotional that weaves together stories of suffering, surrender, and trust from a diverse group of women. Like a breadcrumb trail, these devotions lead you to the cross. But Golgotha is not our final destination. Jesus is the risen Christ. Come and soar with Him!

Prayer is our invitation to God to intervene in the affairs of earth. It is our request for Him to work His ways in this world. ~ Myles Monroe

Prayer is a precious gift from God and it’s how we win our battles in this world. It’s the path to miracles. Your prayers don’t hit the ceiling and drop to the floor. They travel into God’s presence.

Hope in the Waiting is more than the title of this book, it’s the truth we can hold on to as we encounter tests, trials, and temptations. You may be waiting for your miracle. The wait has been long. Just like Thomas, you may be doubting that you will ever be healed, or your family restored, or your finances will meet your needs.

Encounter the hope of Jesus, just as these women did in life’s difficult circumstances. Don’t give up!
