For reasons of privacy and safety, he has chosen to remain anonymous in telling his story. Despite what he endured, he describes his life as an enviable one: surrounded by a loving family, close friends, and - these days - a boyfriend he calls the love of his life. He is happy. He has a support system like no other, and he wakes up most days recognizing the good in his life far more than the bad.
