Briefly Biblical: Concise Contemporary Commentary on Genesis King James Version of the Holy Bible - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

This opus is a commentary on the book of Genesis, King James Version of the Holy Bible.

While the entire manuscript may be listened to in just several hours, it is hoped that significantly more time will be spent on it. It's guaranteed that doing so will be time well-spent.

Not only does this work contain material suitable for the neophyte religious listener, but it also has a wealth of information for the most serious Bible scholar and student, as well.

It is hoped that prior to listening to this book, a moment or two of prayer will be uttered, asking Almighty God to allow you to glean some of the knowledge, truth, and wisdom found in this holy writ.

To fully appreciate what Deacon Gerald J. Shilling has produced here one must be acquainted with the former person that he was. My introduction to him was when he walked into the sanctuary of Jesus' Soul Saving Traveling Mission while service was under way. I saw a tall, white, frazzled, bewildered hulk of a man in the middle of an all-black congregation. It was apparent to me that time, drugs, and a very hard and fast lifestyle had taken their toll on him.

At the time, Jerry worked for the US Postal Service where he was known as "crazy Jerry" and in my opinion was a prime candidate for someone who could "go postal" at any time. I would later learn that beneath the disdainful veneer there was a desire to be a better person, a better man.

And so, the rebirth of Gerald J. Shilling began. With a childlike inquisitiveness and, surprisingly, an intellect to match, he sat through every Sunday school and Bible class to gain the knowledge of the gospel. He eventually received the gift of the Holy Ghost and all its attributes, as Jerry will detail later in this volume. He is generous to a fault, a dedicated husband, and a loyal friend if you are fortunate enough to be called his friend. Thankfully, I am.

Read this book. Read it with the knowledge that it was written by a fully reformed and honest man, an honorable and charitable man. He is someone who has embraced a life of salvation and holy living and is now willing to share that experience with you.
