Crazy About Zs: Rethinking the Alphabet for 26 Times the Fun: 2 (The Alphabeans) - Tapa dura
Libro 2 de 3: The Alphabeans
Sinopsis
A funny read-aloud for kids approximately ages 5-8: "Hey, look! The alphabet got funny!"
This series, ideal for children ages 5-8, shows kids how each letter has an essential part to play in the words we speak, read, write, and even think. NOT ABC books-these are character stories with lots of heart and laugh-out-loud hilarity, designed to entertain AND provide a different perspective on the alphabet to effortlessly reinforce learning. For example, when a letter goes missing, certain words can't be said and funny things happen! Or when a fashion disaster occurs, a summer camp T-shirt becomes an upside-down L-shirt-with a sweet and humorous outcome! Follow along on the adventures of these lovable beans, one letter at a time. The alphabet may never be the same again! In Book 2, Hi (whose name is made up of the alphabet string H-I) has just tried pizza for the first time and decides Z is the very best letter (there are two of them in the word "pizza," after all).In fact, her enthusiasm for all things Z starts to tire her friends Nop and Stu-until they see the Zamboni machine, that is! Will they decide Hi is right about the letter Z? Read her story to find out! What's Inside:- A gentle, silly bedtime story with a kind, energetic, and zany bunch of characters
- Short, simple text - easy for new readers, easy for grownups to read aloud
- Vibrant, cartoon-style illustrations packed with little hidden details to hunt for
- Recurring friends: Nop, Hi, Stu - and their lovable pets!
- Themes of kindness, helpfulness, and good manners; never frightening for a young audience
- 1 - All Out of Ws
- 2 - Crazy About Z
- 3 - L Is Looking Good
- ...and more!

In fact, for thatreason we include a joking reference to "alphabet literalists" on the back cover ofeach book (along with an alternate book number that corresponds to each letter'sposition in the alphabet). When a bean runs out of a certain letter, or a letter goes missing, or a letter isinsulted and leaves, funny things tend to happen. We want our readers to enjoythe scenarios we have imagined and be exposed to new words and human emotions in a comical, always feel-good way.Learning doesn't have to be a "stuffy" process.
