Sinopsis
यह प्रश्न स्वाभाविक है कि जब वेदों पर पहले से ही विशाल साहित्य उपलब्ध है, तो इस पुस्तक की आवश्यकता क्यों है। इसका उत्तर इस पुस्तक की विशिष्टताओं में निहित है। यह पुस्तक अद्वितीय अवतार भगवान् श्री सत्य साई बाबा से संबंधित है।पुस्तक का शीर्षक ‘वेद-सत्य’ वेदों तथा भगवान् सत्य साई बाबा—दोनों से संबद्ध है। इसमें मंदिरों में प्रयुक्त वेद-मंत्रों को दक्षिण भारतीय पद्धति से प्रस्तुत किया गया है, साथ ही स्वर-चिह्न, शब्दार्थ, भावार्थ और आवश्यकतानुसार आधुनिक विज्ञान से सामंजस्य भी दर्शाया गया है।आज का मानव भूत की चिंता और भविष्य के भय से ग्रस्त होकर संस्कृत, संस्कृति और संस्कारों से विमुख हो गया है। वेदों में निहित ज्ञान की उपेक्षा कर पाश्चात्य संस्कृति का अनुकरण किया जा रहा है। इन्हीं परिस्थितियों के निराकरण हेतु भगवान् सत्य साई बाबा का अवतार हुआ, जिनका प्रमुख उद्देश्य धर्म की पुनर्स्थापना, सर्वधर्म समभाव, वेदोद्धार, विद्वज्जनों का पोषण, मानव सेवा, विश्व शांति और विश्व प्रेम की स्थापना हैं।विश्व के महान संत और वेद-पंडित भगवान् बाबा को साक्षात् वेद-पुरुष मानते हैं। उन्होंने उपेक्षित एवं निर्धन वेद-पंडितों को सम्मान, प्रोत्साहन और सामाजिक प्रतिष्ठा प्रदान की। बाबा ने आश्रम एवं शिक्षण संस्थानों में वेद-पाठशालाओं की स्थापना की तथा ‘बाल-विकास’ कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से सभी वर्गों के बच्चों में वेदों के प्रति रुचि जाग्रत की। जाति, देश, भाषा और लिंग के भेद के बिना वेदों के द्वार सभी के लिए खोल दिए गए, फलस्वरूप आज 140 से अधिक देशों में वेदोच्चारण किया जा रहा है।
