The impact of western education on the Indian social system and its aftermath on the life of elderly in India during the British rule and post- independence are briefly discussed in this book. Legislations like the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act 1956, section 125 of CrPC (Section 144 of BNSS) and a special legislation enacted for the elderly, i.e., MWPSC Act, 2007 are briefly explained in the book.
