The heart of the Christian faith is that God so loved the world that He gave His Son, that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life. Reading, studying and discussing the facts of how God gave His Son will contribute to each person's genuine faith. These materials are designed to assist and guide in this personal or class process.
This presentation uses the NIV Bible. Each participant will have his/her own Bible for reading and notes during the class, along with the other provided materials.
The amount of time required for the class is flexible. If more time is available than it takes to go through the materials as listed above, the leader can go through any part of the story and have different participants read the parts of individuals in the story. This would involve one person being a narrator for this activity. Each participant would take colored hi-lighters to identify the various parts before reading.
It may be traditional to think about a class starting after Thanksgiving, but it is not limited to stopping before Christmas. The material is not divided up into specific lessons so that we are free to work with our own schedule.
Singing a Christmas carol or two at each class meeting can add to the focus on the Christmas Story.
