Bill Tobin was a world-class marketer, pioneer, innovator, and idea creator extraordinaire. Bill held fifteen patents, including one of the first patents ever issued for a software product in the United States for the Electronic Dictionary. Bill then developed the digital foundation for modern mapping systems, turning traditional static atlases into interactive, searchable, and constantly updated geographic information systems (GIS). He also founded the first E-Commerce Company (PC Flowers) on the Internet. Bill then obtained the patents for Video Teleconferencing, Methods and Systems for Tracking Commerce on the World Wide Web, and Affiliate Marketing. Bill was honored as one of the top Marketing Executives by Ad Age Magazine and was named Man of the Year by the International Teleconferencing Association. Bill and his late wife, Maria, shared a wonderful retirement life on Marco Island, Florida, where he took the time to write the book to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs.
