Sinopsis

Emily Chase and her crew of sleuthing cats take on cases of missing persons and missing animals. When a neighborhood cat, Shadow, runs away from home and vanishes, the owner reaches out to Emily.

The journey to find Shadow takes Emily into the streets where stray cats roam and into animal shelters. Emily gets a close look into the world of free-living cats.

Emily's own cats are a unique and intelligent team. They think, articulate, and act to help Emily in the case.

Alongside the search for Shadow is Emily's understanding of animal nature, which grows as the story unfolds.

About the Author

Indrani Sircar is an animal lover and has spent many years rescuing feral cats. She has been a freelance writer before writing her first book, People and Other Animals: Story of a Neighborhood. Looking for Shadow is her first book of children's fiction.

Sircar has lived in Canada as well as in the US where she went to graduate school to Syracuse University. She now lives in California with her black kitty, Banguela.
