This is the 2024 revised edition of The Sins of Angels: A Plebeian Inquiry by Gary Stevens originally published as an Amazon ebook on August 4, 2015.
What if the Biblical angels were neither divine nor alien beings? What if they were human?
It would explain a lot.
A half million years ago, an environmental disaster sent members of the prevailing human species to the stars.
A 150,000 years ago, they returned to reclaim the property only to find it already occupied by homo sapiens, among others.
This explains the ability of angels to successfully breed with homo sapiens which, in turn, explains Eve's unnatural difficulty in giving birth.
While the angels did not cause the environmental disaster of the Exodus, they did use it to free the Hebrews from Egyptian slavery. They provided the miracles of Moses, and were responsible for most of the events during the Israelites 40-year desert trek.
That the angels were human explains the birth and death of Christ.
After death, only whole, natural variations can be resurrected. Not only was homo sapiens natural physical alignment disturbed by breeding with the angels, but our internal, spiritual signature as well.
To correct this, the angels embarked on a 2000-year selective breeding program that culminated in the birth of Christ. Christ's death naturalized the homo sapiens/angel hybrid.
The unfortunate consequences of breeding between the two human species also affected those wayward angels who had participated. Their physical and spiritual being was altered as well.
The Revelation of St. John describes the destruction of the earth during a last desperate attempt by Lucifer's angels to create their own savior.
