Chapter 1 (Hope) looks at the hope once held, for what the world could be, the good moments in life, and a little about its shift as you grow older, and more cynical and pessimistic when you're learning how the world truly works. Chapter 2 (Loss) goes further into the impact of the loss of hope, suffering and seeing the world for how it truly is, in direct contrast to how you had hoped everything could be.
