Sinopsis
The fine art of crocheting rag rugs is based on the use of recycled or repurposed fabric strips to create the functional and decorative rugs or any other desired shape through a creative process. Crocheters do not use a yarn, but they cut the strips of fabric used from old clothing and bed linen pieces or any other textile material by transforming it into beautiful and long-lasting rug.
The procedure usually starts by choosing and preparing the fabric, then cutting it into strips, and also combining these strips to form a single length. Crocheters then create the rug by using a crochet hook which is used in different stitches like single or double. The resulting fabric is flexible, rough in its nature; it can be easily shaped into various patterns, designs and size.
