Violet is a college student studying history with a particular interest in the infamous Doc Holliday but there is a large amount of frustration as nearly every article she reads says that he was a criminal, a scoundrel, and worse. She feels like she knows better but cannot prove it.
When her online friend, Lane Allen, a historical reenactor of Doc Holliday in Glenwood, Colorado, offers her the chance to travel there and immerse herself in the place where Doc Holliday spent his final months before succumbing to tuberculosis; she eagerly takes it and invites her solitary, former military, roommate Daniel, who takes it as a chance to reconnect to Violet and go somewhere besides his own room.
When the hotel historian is killed in the historic hotel they are staying in, they then meet an unexpected ally, The Ghost of Doc Holliday.
What they don't realize is that his own past is coming back to haunt him and the three will be caught in the cross hairs in a devious plan driven by someone looking to settle a score from over a hundred years ago and who will eliminate anyone who stands in their way.
