Our Lady of the Absolute: sequel to Murder in the Black Land: 2 (The Black Land Murders) - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

Our Lady of the Absolute is the sequel to Murder in the Black Land.

Ancient Egypt meets the modern day in this historical fantasy novel.

To save her husband’s soul from destruction, an innocent and trusting woman delves into a web of lies and manipulation. She doesn’t know the local priests have sent a serial killer to stop her from uncovering the truth that would end their power.

In an alternate history where a modern-day country worships the gods of ancient Egypt, Meres is horrified to see her husband nailed into a sarcophagus and thrown into the river during a festival day. It wasn’t supposed to happen. Everything is going terribly wrong. Why would the priests want to kill him?

Running away from the White-Walled City and the temple she loves, Meres hides in the desert of The Black Land, determined to follow the river and find her husband’s body to rescue his soul before it’s destroyed forever. But nothing she encounters makes sense … until she meets someone with a wild claim about the recent and secret murder of her husband’s sister and nieces.

Why is his family being killed? Does that mean Meres will be next?

Determined to uncover the truth, Meres doesn’t know she’ll soon come face-to-face with a terrifying serial killer. Nor does she realize that the fate of the entire nation rests on her shoulders.

Our Lady of the Absolute is the sequel to Murder in the Black Land. If you like ancient Egypt, historical fantasy blended with a modern-day setting, and plenty of twists and turns, then you’ll love Resa Nelson’s tale of heroic women, courage, and determination.
