Furthermore, God says, “Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have [moral] strength.” Proverbs 8:14.

Therefore, Christ’s prayer for us is, “Sanctify them [Make them holy] through thy truth: thy word [the Bible] is truth.” John 17:17. For “thy [God’s] word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105. Thus, “the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day [the day they are ready for heaven].” Proverbs 4:18.

Let your prayer then be, “Teach me to do thy will [as revealed in the word of God, the Bible]; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness [which is heaven].” Psalm 143:10.

“For this cause … [I] do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his [of God’s] will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” Colossians 1:9. So, as we prayerfully read and study the Bible, the Holy Spirit will cause us to be able to say of ourselves in truth, “Thy [God’s] testimonies [the Bible] also are my delight and my counsellors.” Psalm 119:24. “I rejoice at thy word [the Bible], as one that findeth great spoil [treasure].” Psalm 119:162.
