With so many differences in this world, it is important to admire and be happy of each other’s unique ways and most importantly respectful of everyone. Before leaving my Special Education Teaching career, I worked with students that expressed different levels of learning and socio-emotional differences. With more students with various socio-emotional disabilities being integrated into classrooms and various children’s organizations, I wrote this book to help kids understand that just because someone may act "different" it should not be viewed as a negative or odd occurrence but an invitation to get to know someone. Wendell and Bonzie showed that their differences got them closer as friends and made everything a fun adventure. You never know who may become your best friend!
