Freida Pemberton, Ed.D., Ph.D., RN-BC is a distinguished nursing professional with over five decades of expertise spanning nursing practice, informatics, education, research, administration, and public speaking. Her 52-year career reflects a profound commitment to advancing healthcare and education, shaped by her personal experiences with discrimination and healthcare disparities. As a full professor of nursing at Molloy University, Dr. Pemberton has been instrumental in advancing health informatics education. She developed the Nursing Informatics component of the university’s Nursing Administration program and continues to enhance its curriculum. Additionally, she created a graduate-level Health Informatics Program for future healthcare leaders, further shaping the field through her expertise and leadership.
