Mickser is a timid, weak-sighted fellow, whose sister, Linda, died as a result of drug abuse. Two bullies, Chin Nolan and Bozo Casey, make his life in Druimeen post primary school miserable. Things change when his Granddad, Jimmy, gives him an ancient disc to be used together with spells that can cause troublemakers to sneeze or itch. One night, he and his Granddad visit Hag’s Mountain to obtain the powerful ‘Fire Spell’. Meanwhile, Yaku, an African boy, has become Mickser’s ally in the fight to outwit the ‘baddies’ and win the love of his classmate, Cynthie.
