When Pippin the Pig realizes she misses her friends from the farm, a helping hand comes in the unexpected form of Gene the Giraffe! Join Pippin and Gene for a unique adventure that teaches friendship and speech therapy tips. Pippin the Pig used to live on a big farm with lots of other animals, but one day she fell off the truck, and now she's alone! Despite having a big mud pile all to herself, she misses her friends and family. Gene the Giraffe used to live at the zoo. And today, he comes across a crying Pippin! Eager to help, Gene introduces himself, and Pippin is excited to meet a new friend. Realizing they're both hungry, Pippin and Gene decide to find themselves a snack. Soon enough, the two become fast friends and go on a whole day's worth of new adventures together! Giraffe and Pig Making A New Friend features bright illustrations and a carefully created narrative that encourages young readers to sound out words, learn new vocabulary, and practice hard sounds, like /ch/ and soft /g/. Perfect for speech therapists, counselors, teachers, parents, and guardians, Giraffe and Pig Making A New Friend promotes early learning with helpful ways to sound out words and read while teaching fun life lessons like making new friends and trying something new.
