Mario A. Riley Sr. is a respected retired Code Enforcement Officer, hailing from El Rio's Colonia Avenue. His diverse career experiences extend to his service with The Ventura Corrections Services Agency and as a volunteer reserve Police Officer for the Oxnard Police Department. Alongside his wife, Virginia, Riley dedicated his time to voluntary service at Livingston Memorial Hospice in Ventura. His commitment to community extends to his active service in the ministries of Calvary Chapel of El Rio/Oxnard. He currently serves on the Rio Manor Water Company Board of Directors and is involved in Rio Lindo's Neighborhood Council. His community involvement lends authenticity to his book, New Jerusalem/El Rio History Project, seeks to educate citizens, leaders, and students alike.
