Sinopsis

The Holman bubble in the constellation of Taurus haunts astrophysicist Lucen DiPeitro, alias Luke. His lost tenure doesn't count for much in the face of the expanding vacuum collapse of the entire universe. Only Birdie, a burned-out concert pianist he meets on a motorcycle trip, listens to his story. Aliens fleeing the disaster show up, and then suns explode. Suddenly everyone is listening to Luke and he has a mission. He gathers a bizarre crew and spaceship.
