Sinopsis

Retired widow, Charlotte Leicester is only too willing to help those in need, therefore, when asked to join the newly founded Community Development Initiative by the local doctor, she eagerly volunteers. She is designated to assist a bedridden elderly woman, Doris Beech, and her down-trodden daughter, Annie, her mother's sole carer and an avid reader.
