Sinopsis

Robert MacKay lives on a smallholding in the Peak District National Park with his wife Jennifer and two young sons, Owen and Christopher. The year is 2030. The world’s population and their economies have just recovered from the lethal virus Covid-19. But now an even worse pandemic is sweeping through the human race. Also, a massive change in the world’s climate puts the survivors under further peril. Their nearest UK Government collection area for survivors is at Portsmouth on the South Coast. Running short of food, they decide to make the perilous journey down the length of a desolate, lawless country. During this expedition, they have to avoid ruthless gangs who are intent on stealing their few remaining supplies and, in the process, are prepared to kill if necessary.
