Sinopsis

“What makes Thrush Green so special is the power of healing” - Winnie BaileyIn this sequel, Return to Thrush Green, we find ourselves once again in the Cotswolds as we catch up with the villagers of Thrush Green. The great Mrs Curdle has been laid to rest, as has Doctor Bailey. However, alongside some of the original inhabitants, new characters appear with their own stories to tell. The lives of the inhabitants continue to move on over the next few years, as we look forward with them to new beginnings that lie ahead in Thrush Green. This is a brand-new script and enhances the two previous scripts by Ron Perry, with a foreword by Ali Silver and Nicki Salmond, chairmen of the Redlynch Players and Fordingbridge Players who jointly staged the world premiere of Return to Thrush Green in 2019.“The spirit of Miss Read lives on in the work of Ron Perry. His plays truly capture the essence of the Thrush Green books with all their warmth and humour” - Victoria Connelly
