LUNA

Thirty-one year old Luna Sky Feather Brinkley had never met a man like Kaede Faretta. He had literally crashed into her life, leaving an imprint that – almost a decade later – she was still trying to cast off.

Loving him had literally ‘sent her to the crazy house,’ as her friends described her brief stay in a mental institution. While one wondered at the hold he had on her, the other had seen first-hand how rawly sensual and all-encompassing their love had been.

But Kaede had betrayed her.

He’d broken her.

It had taken her years to put herself back together.

And now, he was back, making the heart that refused to let go of the love she had for him wish for a Second Chance at Forever.

KAEDE

The kiss of destruction and despair christened thirty-nine-year-old Kaede Faretta into the world.

An abusive father.

A sick mother.

The ravishment of poverty.

One of the biggest mistakes of his life had cost him the only thing that made him believe there was goodness, laughter and light in the world: Luna Sky Feather Brinkley.

She was a light he’d allowed himself to get close to for a little while.

Luna had made him believe things that someone like him had no right to believe. No foundation for trusting. And no preparation for living with.

But her glow had been too perfect; too bright for what and where he was in life. It was a light he knew he had to let go of before the chaos that stalked him dimmed it.

But eight years later, through a string of losses he’d barely survived, he wondered, had it all been so that they could have a Second Chance at Forever?
