Sinopsis

Like last year, this year’s Adams County History journal features articles related to the First World War in honor of the 100th Anniversary of the conflict. The main article is by ACHS member Valerie J. Young. It is an insightful and very personal journal of her research into the life of her grandfather and his experiences in the war. Also included is the account of “Thirty Two Days in the Argonne Offense” by Grover Cleveland Maus of Littlestown, Pennsylvania, as printed in Adams County in the World War. Together they provide some local insight into the events that occurred on the world stage 100 years ago.
