Sinopsis

This book is Part 1 of 2 parts, and books, on the Middle East. This is an abridged version of my journal over the period 2014 - 2019. It is, I hope, both interesting and amusing. I have much respect for the Middle East and Islam and I hope this will help to dispel some myths. It is not a hagiography but I hope it gives an insight into the life of an expatriate when expatriate life was changing, probably for ever; and some insight into how things work in a very structured environment.
