Sinopsis

In a Vietnamese village called Cat Cat near the China border, a young Hmong girl, Mỵ, lives with her family. She is a virtuoso singer and wants to pursue a singing career. Her stern and traditional father forbids her from performing in public. Her father wants to control her. A jealous rival wants to kill her. All the odds are against her, but with the help of some family members, a best friend, and a Hmong shaman she makes it to the most glorious stage in Vietnam, The Hanoi Opera House. Mỵ fills her dreams and performs as Juliet in the opera Romeo and Juliet.
