Five pages and you get to meet the shrewd African king recently dubbed, "the richest person in human history". Five pages and you get to meet the powerful Kushite queen mentioned in the Bible. Five pages and you get to meet the prolific inventor of the the third rail, the trolley, and 40 other devices. Five pages and - well, you get the point, they're inspiring! Lately, we often hear the cliche from a Black person on the defensive: "Oh, we weren't just slaves, you know. We come from kings and queens". Sure, but can you name even three?
