Fr. Mark Lawlor, a priest of the Diocese of Charlotte for the past twenty-six years, reflects on the call of the Lord and his journey to the priesthood.
He relates the hand of God guiding him from his work as a nuclear engineer on submarine overhauls to being a parish priest. Fr. Mark shares grace-filled stories and the encounters with people who helped him to learn and grow along the journey.
These stories are marked with themes of joy, hope, sadness, and mystery. Fr Mark never considered himself a likely candidate for the priesthood and has come to trust in Divine Providence and sanctifying grace.
The chapters in the book cover the time from when he was in the initial stages of the call through his 25th anniversary as a priest.
