Roddy Amport has simply got ‘it’!
Unaware of the magnetic effect he has on women, Roddy finds himself teaching at a small boarding school in the early 1970s. His arrival proves popular not only with the pupils but also with several attractive mothers, who soon have private plans for him. However, the school’s future is in jeopardy; numbers are suffering because the headmaster’s snobbish wife frightens away ‘unsuitable’ parents.
In the classroom, Roddy’s unusual teaching methods prove effective and on the games’ field his coaching of a group of unskilful boys produces startling improvement. Could they really avoid the annual thrashing in their ‘big’ rugby match?
When an admiring mother discovers a secret scheme threatening the school’s survival, it provides the perfect excuse for her to ensnare Roddy. On the day of the important match, there are surprises all round – not least for Roddy.
