Chris Paris was born in London in 1948 and learned to fish on the river Lea at the age of six under his grandfather’s tuition.
His professional and academic life have provided angling opportunities in both hemispheres and nearly seventy years on,
he is still a passionate angler. Now settled in Northern Ireland, he still fishes rivers, loughs and shore marks at every opportunity. In this, his first angling book, he recounts some of his many adventures with big fish, from carp, pike and trout to the giants of the ocean.
