This book has been designed for the information and knowledge of all those who want to know about daily workplace fire hazards and how to control and manage them.
The book deals with fire safety topics like fire behavior, fire triangle, fire tetrahedron, fire classes, fire stages, fire control theory, fire special hazards, workplace practices, fire extinguishment, sprinkler systems, fire detection & alarm systems, building evacuation and fire program management etc.
Each topic is then spread out so that reader know the basics about the topic at first and then gradually proceed to know the factors and sub topics that constitute it and lastly how to eliminate or control them through different control measures available in a given scenario.
The control measures given has been kept to generic solutions in a typical scenario. Specific standards references have been intentionally avoided as the book is for general purposes and not serving a typical country standards.
Having said that some standards despite being of a particular country is considered universal and is accepted as such like in the case of fire classes and how the method of P.A.S.S. etc.
