Sinopsis
The Use of Psalms in the Narrative Structure of Mark integrates the use of the Old Testament in the New Testament into the study of narrative criticism. In the beginning of his Gospel, Mark succinctly states that it is the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Mark 1:1). Mark uses Psalms at the key junctures of his Gospel narrative that Jesus’ identity and works as the Christ, the Son of God, fulfills the Psalmic vision of the eschatological Messiah who ushers the kingdom of God. This book invites its readers to not only understand how Mark weaves Psalms into his Gospel narrative adroitly, but also appreciate the theological and literary richness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
