Elena’s home life is not what it’s supposed to be. She loves her mom and dad, but sometimes it feels scary to be home. When Elena is placed in foster care, she wonders if she will ever see her family again. That’s when several grown-ups in her life repeat these words over her:

God loves you big and cares for you.

Jessica Mathisen is a former elementary school teacher passionate about communicating God's love to others through words and relationships.
