Michael D. Thomas, FMP, ProFM, USMCMichael D. Thomas has built a career spanning more than two decades at the intersection of facility management, corporate operations, and leadership. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he began his professional journey in risk management within the casino industry before transitioning into facility management - a field where his discipline, precision, and commitment to excellence found a natural home.Over the years, Michael has led facility operations for government agencies, healthcare organizations, warehouses, and Fortune 500 companies. In 2017, he contributed to IFMA's Job Task Analysis for updating the FMP credential, and in 2022, he became a Qualified Instructor for the ProFM credential.Today, Michael continues to advance the facility management profession by mentoring new facility leaders, shaping best practices, and sharing his expertise through training, consulting, and publications. His mission is clear: to help the next generation of facility managers build trust and maintain excellence.
