Hazel and the Little Acorn: A Story About Patience and Growing (The Hazel Adventures) - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

A tiny acorn. A big possibility. And a lesson that takes patience to understand. When Lucas discovers a small brown acorn beneath a mighty oak tree, Hazel and her friends are amazed to learn that something so tiny could one day grow tall enough to reach toward the sky. Excited to help, they carry the acorn back to Hazel's Garage, choose a sunny place near the fence, plant it carefully, and give it water. Then they wait. The next morning, nothing has changed. The day after that, there is still no sprout. Nathan wonders why it is taking so long, Rocco thinks it may need more water, and Lucas begins to feel disappointed. With gentle encouragement from Moss, the friends learn that the little seed is already doing important work beneath the soil. Before it can grow upward, it must first grow strong roots where no one can see. So the friends continue caring for the seed. They keep the soil soft, clear away leaves, provide water, and practice being patient. At last, one bright morning, a tiny green sprout pushes through the earth. Hazel and the Little Acorn is a warm, reassuring picture book about patience, friendship, responsibility, and the quiet ways growth begins. With lovable characters, a peaceful countryside setting, and a meaningful lesson for young readers, this gentle adventure reminds children that wonderful things often take time-and that even the smallest beginnings can grow into something great. A comforting addition to The Hazel Adventures, it is ideal for shared reading at home, in classrooms, or at bedtime.
