The metaverse is often portrayed as a boundless digital frontier, yet without intentional design, it risks replicating the same inequities that shape the physical world. Democratizing the metaverse means moving beyond speculation to ensure that immersive technologies are inclusive and human centered. This requires lowering social barriers to participation, designing experiences that reflect diverse identities, and prioritizing human values over purely commercial or extractive goals. By creating accessibility and inclusivity as core principles rather than afterthoughts, the metaverse can evolve into a shared space that empowers creativity. Democratizing the Metaverse: Accessibility, Inclusivity, and Human-Centric Innovation explores real-time metaverse technologies that are revolutionizing industries while solving ethical, social, and economic issues. It provides practical frameworks to solve society's problems, responsibly and fairly utilizing the technologies of the metaverse. Covering topics such as metaverse, economics, and digital technologies, this book is an excellent resource for academicians, researchers, educators, curriculum developers, industry professionals, technology developers, and graduate students.
